The weekend started with a special church service and parade through Morpeth on Saturday 22nd April to celebrate St George's Day, the anniversary of the Regiments formation and our freedom of Northumberland.
This was then followed by Gallipoli Commemorations in Bury which started on Saturday also with a special dinner for local VIP's and veterans at The Village Hotel. A special church service was then hosted by The Fusiliers on Sunday 23rd April at Bury Parish Church and followed with parade through the town. Crowds gathered at both locations to celebrate St George's Day and to commemorate the fallen at Gallipoli all those years ago when the Lancashire Fusiliers famously won '6VC's before breakfast'
